Hi there! I’m Aurora. I still remember the first time my best friend applied eyeliner on me during my first year of high school when giving me a makeover. I instantly fell in love with it but was too nervous to apply it myself. Now, I get compliments on my eyeliner every day.

In this blog, I’ll cover many hot topics in the beauty industry, including consumerism, sustainability, new releases, and dupes. Additionally, I will analyze the role of social media influencers in this space and how they contribute to product promotion and consumer perception. The beauty industry is more than just products; it’s about storytelling, innovation, and how brands communicate their values to the world. Understanding these dynamics can empower you to be a more informed consumer, whether shopping for the perfect foundation or exploring brands committed to eco-friendly practices.

As a first-generation, nontraditional senior at the University of Oregon, I’ve spent the last few years immersing myself in public relations and legal studies, all while working full-time at Ulta Beauty. My academic journey has given me a deep understanding of how human behavior, law, and ethics shape effective communication and contribute to brand growth while watching it play out in the beauty industry hands-on. Working at Ulta has been an incredible experience, allowing me to witness firsthand how customer interactions and brand presentations influence buying decisions.

 

I created this blog to combine my passion for helping others and breaking down barriers. My vision is to build a platform that informs, supports, and empowers my readers by creating an inclusive space for sharing valuable information. In a world that often prioritizes profits over transparency, there is power in ethical practices and open dialogue.
